Our Mission
To serve as a clearinghouse that promotes corporate contributions of new/gently used goods which are made available to low income individuals, non-profit and human service organizations and to promote education and training of the low-income communities.
PCR has three purposes:
(1) To satisfy and expand the current Pima Computer Recycling programs in refurbishing and distributing used computers and other goods donated to various segments of the low income population in the county.
(2) To develop basic computer technician skills in current homeless or low income populations
(3) To determine the feasibility of the program as an on-going job development device for people who are economically depressed.
At PCR we refurbish and recycle computers
By repairing or upgrading them and selling them at a very low price or donating them to qualifying individuals. While there are a few companies in Pima County that refurbish computers, there are currently none who give them back to the community via schools and low income families for free, or at most for $175 for the computer, monitor, software, keyboard, mouse and speakers.
PCR redistributes items no longer needed or usable by retailers, wholesalers, and distributors to non-profits organizations, their clients and low income families and children.
Pima Computer Recycling is a nonprofit program that allows businesses to play an important role in non-profit and other human service agencies in Tucson and Pima County through the donations of usable goods that are passed through from non-profit agencies and other organizations to low-income families and youth within the Pima County Area.
